This is good. Hybridization increases gas mileage significantly in real world driving even though EPA testing may not show it. For example a small car typically gets in the 20s in city driving, usually low 20s. My C-Max has 190hp and gets 40mpg in city and highway
"Fully electric or hybrid by 2019". I find this to be an astoundingly daring move. Let's see how many other auto mfrs. follow. It will take a big push to get the infrastructure in place. That could lead to dramatic changes to the way in which charging stations are implemented and operated, with the private sector taking the lead in co-operation with local governments as regulators, licensors, or partners.
But...China owns Volvo now. Who are these Swedes in the article? Do they work for the Chinese company? Can someone explain this?
