OK, you either buy looks and comfort and cushy ride, or you buy reliable car. By far, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna beat this race for years.
Forget idiotic initial quality slogan. YOU are the one to deal with ill made vehicles later.
So choose what you really want - reliability or all that that you described.
And stay away from German makes, please.
Worse come to worse, if you simply can't, buy Tahoe or Yukon. they tend to run for long long time.

And I get it, wife likely has the last say on it. Let her deal with repairs once or twice, that should fix her mind.

Honda's reputation seems to work miracles for their image, but it doesn't mean they don't have their issues....Honda Odyssey Transmission Problems

My neighbor used to rebuild his Odyessy's transmission every 30k.

Retired I work for a world famous drug and alcohol treatment center. We run 8 Toyota Sienna vans and put 40,000 miles a year on them, dump them after 4 years. These are solid pieces. In the last 8 years the only issue was a tranny that went at 100,000 miles. We well maintain them and all mileage is highway. Half are AWD. Go with Sienna.
