Not unless they break the Corvette out into two separate models, perhaps as its own brand as I had
suggested earlier. Corvette engineers have been silently grumbling for a while about the performance constraints of the front-engine layout and the semi-affordable price point. The whole point of moving to a mid-engine platform is to free it from that leash so it can start chasing after the high-performance big dogs. In short, I suspect GM is jealous that they don't have a Ford GT equivalent and now they're aiming to fix that shortcoming in their high-performance lineup.
