Should I be embarrassed by the fact that someone my age drives around in a [mod cut] SUV? God I hate these things.

I feel like I'm driving something a mother uses to do school drop offs and grocery getting.

Why can't we ever have what we want? I'm sure there are mothers out there in sedans/coupes who want SUV

Other people don't care what you drive. Drive what YOU want.

You could be riding around in much worse, say a 15 year old Saturn or a beat up Chevy pickup.

I think "SUV" is a little too broad of a descriptor. Are we talking Buick Enclave here or Jaguar F-Pace? I don't think anyone is going to confuse you with a soccer-mom driving a BMW X5M. More to the point though... if they are, so what? If it matters that much to you (and you own it), get something else. If you don't own it and you're driving a family/friend owned automobile... I don't think you should be complaining at all... you've got free wheels.

What's wrong with an SUV? When I was in my 20's I had a bunch of friends who purposely bought SUV type vehicles. V8 explorer's, Durango's, etc. Put an exhaust on it, some big tires, toss it in 4x4 and hit a trail or two.

Are you driving around in a Kia Sorrento?

If you want something else, start saving money.

1. Why do you drive around in an SUV? How did you acquire it?

2. Why do you care what anonymous online forum members tell you about how embarrassed you should or should not be?

3. Why can't you have what you want? Do you have a job? Do you have debt? Do you have other obligations that prevent you from "having what you want"?
