There’s a Tundra that went over a million miles, but the odometer couldn’t go over 999,999.9 so it just stayed there. Toyota bought the truck back from the owner and gave him a new one.
The last thread I did was this: What happens to a vehicle when it reaches 100,000 miles?
I'm starting to wonder about the vehicle when it reaches 999,999 miles.
The only two possible answers I can think of:
A. They wear out and break down
B. The odometer goes back to zero.
Does anybody have a clue?
Any car can be made to go on indefinitely if you throw enough money at it. In terms of reliability, nothing magic happens at an given odometer reading.
As far as what the odometer itself does - it depends on the car.
I guess we have to ask what happens at 4 million miles?
