I've been driving in Wales, UK, the last two weeks and there's a lot of diesel cars here unavailable in the USA. Air quality here is as good as home. None of the cars I've been following has emitted so much as a whiff of diesel smoke even in heavy stop 'n go traffic in Oxford or Pembroke.
Diesel cost per liter is within a penny or two between the gasoline and diesel.
I'm driving a Ford Fiesta Eco-boost gasoline car and have been getting 52 mpg, imperial gallon. Speeds vary between 25-ish on the country lanes and in-town traffic to 55-70 mph on the A roads. Lots of tight up and down hill driving in 2nd and 3rd gear here, fiesta performance adequate. I see little reason for a more powerful car given the roads and traffic density. Lots of MB and BMW 's here, along with Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, and domestic British Marques on the roads.
The Citroen C4 came 139th out of 150 models in our 2016 Driver Power owner satisfaction survey, 124th for reliability and a worrying 141st for build quality.
how does he find the interior???? i checked one few weeks ago and it looked pretty cheap inside - plastic, cheap plastic everywhere, small seats, it you are taller - no chance to feel comfortable, no feet room at the rear
Diesel pollution is also a big issue in Europe now, and they're regretting pushing diesel for CO2 reductions
