Unfortunately they are no longer 'small' trucks. I'd love to find an early 90's Toyota pickup that didn't have 500k miles on it. They were the perfect size IMHO.

Price is funny ($16000) as that truck probably didn't cost that new in 2013 but since they aren't made anymore (base model, 2 dr. no extra cab) people will pay a premium!
If it follows the same manufacturing process of the Isuzu D-MAX, it's well worth it.
Except it isn't really a good truck for anything truck worthy! Bed is tiny (5 ft), towing capacity is 7700 lbs with the diesel but the truck is small and a 7K trailer will surely push it all over the road. At 40K price point there aren't many buyers ready to grab one for $700 a month!
My buddy has one, crew cab short bed diesel. Likes the truck but thinks it is too small (he uses it for his restaurant). I couldn't imagine being a carpenter (8-10 ft boards won't fit) or other tradesman trying to use the 5 ft box. On Chevy's website they show a blue one hauling skiis in the bed, the snow skiis don't even fit, they overhang too!

Most truck beds, even in full size trucks, have gotten ridiculously short. I wish they would offer more longbeds with regular cabs or slightly extended cabs (no rear seat).

I drive a Isuzu D-MAX when I'm on the other side of the Atlantic and the Isuzu off road handling package is near perfection without having to do any modifications to it. I can't see me bringing my Avalanche there and affording the fuel it gobbles up as a daily driver.
I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota (V-6) with 288,000 miles on it. The interior has held up very nicely, which proves that a little bit of Armor-All goes a long way. It still cruises as smoothly at 80 MPH as it ever has, though it does idle a bit rougher than before. My family mechanic said earlier this year that cylinder #6 has lost a little bit of compression, but the other five cylinders are fine, so I think I'm going to get a valve job done on the engine at 300,000 miles. I also plan to replace the exhaust system eventually, because I want dual outlets instead of a single outlet. Because my truck has withstood my severe driving style for as long as it has, you know exactly where my vote is going.
