For those of you who want a dash cam, but have been hesitant because you think most are junk... or that the people selling them do not adequately stand by their products...
I just (5 minutes ago) purchased a cam from Walmart for $19.00.
It has:
Night vision
1080P quality
a 2.4" screen
A 4.0 gig sd card and a 100% angle of view
A 10 ft cable
looping
Auto On/Off
I don't know what quality it is yet; but for $19 and the promise I can just take it back to Walmart if I am dissatisfied for any reason, I grabbed one.

Watch those dash cam compilation videos. It isn't hard to distinguish the $20 camera from the $100 camera. Just because it sounds good on paper doesn't mean it's going to produce crisp video.

My point wasn't that it has good specs. My point is that it is cheap and easily returned at Wal-Mart if it turn out not to be good.

Looking forward to a review......I can easily get the Boss (Wife) to allow a $20 purchase on the fly....she hates wasting money, but for $20, it's cheap fun
I have the Viofo A119 on the way, its getting pretty good reviews for a budget cam. Plus it uses a capacitor instead of a lithium battery which is a plus.
No I’m not obsessed with what other people are doing reminds me of peeping toms.
Dash cams have nothing to do with what other people are doing, they have to do with protecting yourself against false accusations and perceptions of things like accidents.
It can be bought for $90 with a coupon code until Dec 31st.
If that is too much $20 Dash cam is enough to tell a story of someone running a light or coming into your lane, but if you want clear readings of license plates, you might want to spend atleast $50 on something like the GW1C or better.

Never would need one been driving 46 years never had any problems i guess if you want on go for it but it’s not for me. I see your point though in today’s world everyone is sue happy, trying to get money out of the insurance companies, the court system is plugged up with useless lawsuits brought on by ambulance chaseing lawyers and people fakeing injuries.

I went out and got one after witnessing a hit and run that caused a huge interstate wreck and being upset with myself to not have remembered all the details in my witness statement. What I gave was still enough though to turn the story around, it was initially going to be blamed on the victim.
