Maple leaf stains and pecan leaf stains on hood, top, trunk, all vehicles. They are not coming off easily with soap and water and sponge. Too much abrasion will damage the paint job. Alternatives?
We would have had to cover the vehicles to prevent the leaf issue. The leaves fall every night and after a rain they stick to the metal. Blow off when driving but leave a stain. Never had this issue until this season. There has been no change in the frequency of car washes.
Something abrasive might help so I'll see what I can find.

I had the same problem with pecan leaves and a white car recently. I washed car, nope. Waxed roof and hood, nope. I noticed, if I used my fingernail with wet wax, they came right off. I tried the edge of a credit card, this worked good. I used it lightly, no scratches.

Well that would be a good use of my credit card since the credit limit is not enough to buy anything.
Here is Turtle Wax advertising their product.
$4.92 at Walmart.
