So now I have almost chosen my model car--one has leather seats, the other cloth.
I really feel leather is over-rated. My current car has leather. I was good the first couple of years keeping them clean, then I got lazy. The are super cold in the Winter and hot in the Summer. Least I had heated seats so they warmed up quickly in the cold--however those first few minutes were torture.
Leather by far. The texture of a lot of cloth seats bother me and they often start fraying early on. Leather is so much easier to keep clean, especially in regards to dog hair. Heated leather is nice in the winter and on my back. I've only encountered power adjustable lumbar support in leather which is a big deal for me. Tinted windows(especially the windshield with >80% transmittance ceramic tint with high IR rejection) keep the temps under control in summer even with black on black. Only takes a good clean/condition once or twice a year to keep it looking like new for years.

I wear shorts 90% of the time. I have ridden in cars with leather seats, I tend to stick to the seats and when I get out there is this RIIPPPPING sound. Cloth doesn't do that!
The last time I had cloth seats was 1958. Leather for me all the way. If your sweaty legs are sticking just throw a blanket or towel on the seat -- you can always remove it later.
A quality leather interior wins by a landslide and I'm referring to the type of leather used back in the 70s era Mercedes. Some of the stuff that's passed off as leather now just isn't all that and doesn't wear any better than a quality cloth in many cases.
I'm not a fan of cloth simply because it's more difficult to clean up, pet hair sticks to it ect...admittedly it's more comfortable in really hot climates though.
I think there are pros and cons with either seating surface.
My experience is that between the two leather or leatherette are more durable and are easier to clean.
As SoHoVe stated, cloth is harder to clean, especially dog hair.
Also, with many automakers today offering heated/cooled seats, even the weather is not as much of a deciding factor anymore.
