Well his insurance should cover the other one. Hopefully he had gap insurance.
What people need to understand is this would be an issue to take up with the manufacturer rather than the dealership.
Dealership is just the middleman.
Agree completely that the manufacturer should make this right though.
I have heard that there is a recall for this issue. It seems a vendor made a fuel line improperly, and it leaks near the firewall. If this is true, that is probably what caused the fire.
I just googled "2018 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk recalls" and found nothing. Perhaps this is just an unfounded rumor.
If he was smart, he would run and not walk away from Chrysler products.
