So you think every dealership in the country only has older Journeys from rental companies. How big was that dealership bet it’s not as big as the ones around major cities. Do you think Chrysler only is selling them to rental companies. Maybe you don’t see allot of private owners trades is because people are not trading them in. I also bet that dealership also had other vehicles from rental companies also on their lot also.

How do you know they aren't rental vehicles? The person you quoted never said they were rental cars only, just that the majority of them are. I just did a sampling on cargurus of Dodge Journeys in my area (there are very few), the vast majority were fleet or rental vehicles. I only saw two out of 12-14 that were not.

They are tailor made to get people who are underwater on safe ground again (with very large rebates which pay off the debt owned on their previous cars). So dealers like to push them on poor credit customers (because they can't get a loan for anything else).
