My guesses:

Coils, plugs, wires

Fuel pump, fuel filter

Sensors/ECU issues

At that mileage, it would be common to replace one or more of the coil packs. That would be my best guess based on the symptoms, the only strange thing is an ignition problem should trigger a code and a dash indicator for a misfire condition.

Just because they were replaced doesn't mean they were replaced correctly or with incorrect plugs. Not all plugs are the same and not all plugs last. It could have been replaced with a crappy plug or not gapped correctly or not seated properly within the coil pack or cylinder.

I had a 99 Honda Civic and at 90K miles I replaced the plugs with Bosch plugs. The vehicle ran fine for many months, but then the ride was getting rougher and rougher. When I took it in for the 100K maintenance (timing belt, water pump), they recommended I remove the Bosch plugs and go with OEM NGK plugs. Once I swapped out the plugs for OEM plugs, the car ran 100% better and had no further issues with roughness.

** Edit ** - Start with the free stuff first. Inspect the plugs and check for the color of the tip. Then go with the cheaper fixes first such as new plugs, IAC cleaning, TB cleaning, etc.

I'll ask about the brand of plugs, thanks...

I know someone with the same type of vehicle and the same mileage. The Murano pre cats are a known problem area. Very expensive fix, if that's the problem. Your best bet is to join the premier Murano forum and ask there. You'll get much better help there.

I don't think AlaskaEric means C-D's Nissan forum, but a dedicated Murano forum such as:

Nissan Murano Forum

(mods, hopefully me putting the link is allowed)

There a number of forums for any given vehicle. That's why I recommended the premier forum for your vehicle. That would be the one with the most threads and responses. I would specifically sign up with the premier Murano forum rather than a generic Nissan forum. And yes, I'm talking about a non-CD forum.
