Thank you everyone, presently I have a 2013 Crosstrek, not bad, but it's a bumpy ride at times...and at not quit 50,000 miles, had to already replace both rear wheel bearings...not happy with the CVT engine, doesn't have the get up and go when you first start out, but after you get going it's fine...you just have to make allowances when getting onto interstates and highways...

Wheel bearings is a pretty common Subaru problem. If they go before 60,000 miles, they're covered by the power train warranty.
I find the Crosstrek very underpowered. I own a 6 cylinder Outback. That's a more reasonable weight to horsepower ratio and the car doesn't strain. CVT is awful when you're underpowered. I have no problem with mine.
I've had the RAV4 as a rental a number of times. In the base trim level I've rented, the RAV4 is awful. Lousy seat. Choppy ride. I don't understand why they're so popular.
Love the RAV4 compared to the CRV. We've owned both. The CRV seemed sluggish compared to the RAV. We also rented a 2017 RAV4 earlier this year. That was a very nice vehicle. Great ride and comfortable.

I replaced both the rear wheel bearings, but the mechanic never said anything about the power train warranty, however, I didn't take it to the dealer?
and yeah, my crosstreck is ok...but...choppy ride as well....and the roads in PA are a mess.
Love the mid-sized SUV's so, guess I'll have to keep on searching....
