If I had no money down the payment would be approx $1200 a month for 5 years !

That is a house mortgage!
Trucks hold their value well so if you bought a truck recently you probably have some good equity in it that knocks that $60k price tag down a bit.
If you paid off your truck over a decade ago you theoretically have over a decade of no payments and thus have a huge savings to put down on it.

Remember, even if you pay off a vehicle you always have a “payment” as vehicles don’t last forever and will eventually need to be replaced with something. So either the payment goes toward the loan or your savings but one way or another it’s going to another vehicle eventually, otherwise you end up with a $1200 a month payment.

That poster is right - Nissan has been aggressive in growing rental fleet sales the past few years. There have been a lot of articles written about it like these:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...u-s-sales-slow

https://www.wsj.com/articles/nissan-...les-1514376000

http://www.autonews.com/article/2017...ng-fleet-sales

Nissan does not publicly report rental sales by model. (If at all....)

If I’m not mistaken Honda doesn’t really do fleet sales so I’d say the CRV is the best seller to the general public.
