...I'd be glad to take it off your hands. You can consider it a "Go Fund Me" for a (not so) young man who would love to have a great gar before he is done.
You know, at one time, I have even considered one of those GT40 kit cars; but was shocked to see that many of them promote the "big engine" you can put into the chassis - but then advise against driving it fast - what a waste.
Anyway, all donations will be considered! Uncle Warren? Uncle Bill? Are you listening?
That's my one and only - pinnacle "before I die" car. No maybe this car, or maybe that car. We are talking about the 1 car you want. What is yours?

I can't name just one, I have a whole mountain range of pinnacles. A GT40 would be high on that list, always loved that shape. That being said I'd happily 'settle' for a Lamborghini Miura, a Ferrari 275 GTB or GTS, and I do love some of those old Bentley open cars that chuff around in great style.
Oh, and IF I could have a Beechcraft Model 17 'Staggerwing', I believe a Cord 810 would be the perfect vehicle for the drive to the airport.
I share the lust even though my real interest is in the original-era cars (and the top-drawer replicas like my Cobra). I had vague hopes that the market would saturate and the prices would drop a little so I could trade up. Ha. Ha ha. Ha ha *sob*.
I'm around these type of cars all the time. Don't waste your daydreams. I don't have a favorite marque. I've been doing cars for over 30 years. There is no better deal on a high performance sport car than a Corvette.
Yes, that's right. I am also aware that there were decades where a Corvette should have ceased production as it was ugly, heavy and in general a pile of ----.
I'm on the West Coast and I see the New Jersey Corvette dealer is selling "new" base models for under 50K.
Nothing in the sport car world can compete for the price. No, I don't own one. I drive a new Tundra 4x4 pickup.
Also notice I call them sport cars. That is what Shelby called them, and who would know better? Sports car doesn't sound right anyway. Also the famous racing Sunbeam Tiger came out of Hollywood Sport Cars in L.A
No, I don't know it all..........but I know a bunch
I've wanted a cobra for most of my adult life, but after buying a miata I no longer care to have any other car
