I think you accidentally put an extra 0 in your fine. I know of no states with fines that excessive for 15 over the limit.

That's a huge fine. Where did that happen? Was there an aggravating factor, like a construction zone, involved?

15-20 real tickets (I don't consider photo radar tickets to be real tickets) is a pretty impressive count....

I've been lucky with spreading them out too. I don't think I've ever had more than 2 tickets on my record at any given time.

No extra "0", the fine was $1000, however I got it in Norway, just did the currency math for you.

It's in no way the biggest speeding ticket you can get though, it's the second biggest you can get without having to meet in court, the biggest I think is about $2000.

Short answer; Don't speed in Norway unless you know where the speedtraps are.

At one time, I had 4 speeding tickets in a year. License was suspended for 3 months but I drove anyway (had to get to work). I've been a habitual speeder all my life. I can't recall how many tickets I talked my way out of including a ticket for drag racing. I'm a lot more careful on how I speed now including having a Valentine-1 radar/laser detector.

My last ticket was for 65 in a 55 30 years ago. I can not recall how many accidents I have been able to avoid because I dont speed. We need more regulations and enforsement. Anyone caught using a cell phone while driving should lose their license for 30 days first offense.Any teen caught texting should get a 500 buck fine a year suspension and 10 driving points.
