Have You Ever Had a Speeding Ticket?
I was just curious to see what percentage of my fellow forum members were naughty little leadfoots over the years and managed to score at least one speeding ticket. At age 21 I've racked up two speeding tickets thus far. I was doing 57 in a 45 for the one and 77 in a 55 in another. Please don't tell me I'm alone in being a hardened criminal!

You're one very lucky mom indeed! My own mother is a leadfoot and has never been caught either (at least not to my knowledge).

I got two tickets, one in Ga and one in FL. I went without a ticket until was in my 40's.ai think in Ga I was doing 55 in a 40 and got a $180.00 ticket. In Fl was doing 75 in a 55. Copwas nice and put me at doing 10 miles over whick amounted to a $80.00 ticket, saved me some $$. I took an online driving course and no points on my license.

Not even going to admit exactly how many I have gotten over the years. Lets just say high horsepower vehicles, an adrenalin junkie behind the wheel, and a very good income didn't add up to a very responsible driver.

yeah, a little to frequently
seems like i get the record cleared up, and then BAM, i get another one. fortunately, never got nabbed at ridiculous speed, usually about 20 over. they are starting to get pretty expensive though, might have to try to slow down a little, then again, maybe not

Speeding ticket question - California
I regret to say I've gotten 3 speeding tickets over the years, they were about 7 years apart. Each time I paid the fine and went to traffic school to keep it from raising my insurance premium.
When I speed, I prefer to be with a group of people speeding...lessens my chances of being the one to get the ticket! I try to stick with the groups who go @ 10-15 miles over the speed limit. The last time I got a ticket, that didn't help me, I was the one to get the ticket. Oh well.
This is why I'm posting...maybe someone can advise me. This is in the state of California, by the way.
So I got a ticket fine in the mail, paid it and went to traffic school. At the end of traffic school, I filled out the form, signed it and kept my receipt.
9 months later, I find out from my insurance company that my insurance premium has gone up. When I ask why, the only thing I can get out of them is that it was due to a speeding violation and the date they had on record was about a month after I went to traffic school.
I didn't get pulled over the month that was on the insurance violation. When I sent away to the company that gathers info for insurance companies, they wouldn't release the information to me about the details. By law, I'm supposed to be able to get that report, but this company refused...so much for the law.
Anyway, I'm thinking maybe it was because my paperwork at traffic school didn't get recorded properly. Maybe my writing was hard to decifer.
I've looked on my state's DMV site and I couldn't find any information to help my situation.
Then I read about this:
"The Orange County Superior Court in California is outsourcing the processing of traffic tickets to a California company that sends the information through a Nogales, Mexico, subsidiary, raising public concerns of identity theft and complaints of language problems that allegedly lead to months of administrative errors in processing paperwork.
The controversy broke this week on KFI AM-640's popular John and Ken radio show when an unidentified law enforcement officer called the show and broke the news.
Many listeners of the show were outraged to learn information from traffic citations was being sent to Mexico, where Mexican workers had complete access to a driver's personal information. "
What can I do?

Too many to remember, but none in the last 33 years.
