This wasn't intentional clickbait...I am not able to edit the title to add that it's "possible" closure.

What models are they discontinuing...does anyone know?

On autoblog I saw listed the Chevy Cruze, Impala, Volt, Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac CT6 and XTS to end production.

The Cruze needs to end, it's earned a poor reputation during the first 3-4 years. The coolant issue, oil leaks, blown turbos, etc. Built very low quality.

Big mistake and I doubt Trump will extend a bailout to GM like Duhbya and Obama did. Self driving cars and electric cars are not wanted and not cost effective, respectively.
Instead of dropping models they should drop upper level management and their union negotiators.

Take it with a big grain of salt, because the CT6 is NOT going away.
Then again, maybe they're going to turn it into a CUV.

Another notch on belt - against any turbo.

I can't believe they'd ditch the Impala. Of course they will... because they finally got it right. That's a damn fine car.

Although Sales are way down. Blame the SUV craze again.

Canada is selling more though?!?

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...sing-next-year

Bloomberg News is reporting these changes are being made due to the switch to electric vehicles.
Less staff is needed to design electric vs fuel powered vehicles.
Everyone wants CUVs now, so sedans bite the dust.

The future is coming really fast.

So no more muscle cars. No more classic cars on the road. No more sound of a V8 with headers with decent mufflers, or a screaming ricer turbo. At the drag races, all will be electric. And motorcycles are they next. Wow! what a boring time to be coming. I dont see it as a smooth transformation.
