So a highly modified musclecar with giant drag slicks is fast at the track.

Was there supposed to be news here?

Post some magazine tests from the day, with crappy bias-ply tires and no suspension mods, much less modern electronic multifire ignition and roller cams. There are family Toyotas today that post faster quarter times than many of the big-block musclecars in their day.

I wanted a real Hemi Cuda more than just about any car in the era, and this one's quite pretty. But the "old" part of it didn't beat anyone - the wholly modern 528ci engine, drag suspension and slicks did.

That the all-aluminum engine probably weighs 1000 pounds less than the original is just an aside.

Other than that... cool.

If Mopar were to re-style the Challenger, give it some cool upgrades, and call it a 'Cuda or a Roadrunner, they'd sell the things as fast as they could build them.

I donít know if the whole interchanging extinct nameplates thing is kosher.
Dodge Roadrunner? Chevrolet Trans Am? Chrysler Superbird? Just donít sound right.

Call them a Plymouth and a Pontiac. There's no law against it.

I mean Ram is its own thing now. It's ****ing anarchy out there.

About once a month thereís a thread on here counting down the days until Chysler dies because they only make two models, and you want to bring back in old nameplate just for one model? Thatís insanity!

It would be called a Chrysler Cuda or just Cuda because if people don’t know who makes the Cuda than they are not a car person or are Generation Y, or Millennials—born between 1977 and 1997.
Generation Z—born after 1997.
