Is it true that most white cars are owned and driven by women? I know I have always been partial to certain types of white cars Lincoln's and Cadi's for instance. In fact I just bought a 2003 pearl white Cadi about a month ago.

Hubby has always said most white cars are women's cars.

I have really never paid any attention to that. I have seen many guys in white vehicles as well, I had one myself and several guys on my job have white cars.

I owned one white car and a white Toyota pickup truck. It seems the white color does not show the dirt as much and certainly not scratches like a darker paint color would. Depending on the vehicle, I would buy one again.

last time I looked, I was male. I only buy white cars. At present, I have a white Acura RDX and a white Tacoma. In the past, had white CRV, white Four runner, white Avalon, white Dodge Ram and others.

Never heard that statistic before. I'm male, I have 2 cars, one is grey and one is white. The white car I've owned for 9 years, still shines up pretty well, despite the fact it's now 19 years old.

Well, there are only three possibilities:

1. Most white cars are owned by women.
2. Most white cars are owned by men.
3. Exactly 50% of white cars are owned by women and 50% are owned by men.

Number 3 seems unlikely, so it is logical to think there is some disproportion. Still, the question doesn't seem that interesting to me.

My wife has a blue car, and I have a (different shade) blue truck. We had a white car back in the early 80s, which was my wife's but not her choice. It just happened to be the only one there of the model that suited us at the time. Currently I actually don't know anyone driving a white vehicle, though most of our pool cars at work are white. Plain white cars (not metallic or pearlescent white) are used as fleet cars to save money, because they don't have the additional cost for many of the other colors.

I don't know if there is a statistical breakdown on record.

I'm a male, and had a white car years and years ago when I was in high school. However, the new shades of white they've come out with are very appealing. They've grown on me so much that I may consider it for my next car choice.

Not that I've seen. Certainly some market segments that men are more likely to populate will have fewer white cars...Namely the sports/performance market.

But among the general "middle 80%" of vehicles sold, I don't think there's a gender bias.
