Imply that if you bought the car, you'd continue to take the car there, that sort of thing.

I like that the Accord has new tires and "breaks". Otherwise, with older budget cars, I'd always feel better if they are manual transmission vehicles.
Both cars are most likely being sold by curbstoners, they aren't going to have any maintenance history. Any car in this price range is going to be a risk. If either car was in a collision it's probable that the driver only had liability insurance, and if it was his fault there probably won't be any record of the collision in the Carfax - this is why with cheap old cars it's especially important to look closely for prior damage/shoddy repairs.

Between the two, buy the one that is still for sale.

Prism has less insulation than the Corolla so not exactly the same. More road noise. Both were severely prone to rust. Also keep your speed below 75

So, had the scheduled appointment for yesterday at 2pm. Get a text from the seller (of the prism) about an hour before saying he got called into work last minute and will have to push our meeting time back a day or two. I say no problem and we can meet tomorrow (which is today). He was good with that, and we were going to try and meet today but it's been snowing consistently since 7am so I doubt we'll meet today. I think I may skip out on this one all together. Getting cold feet about the seller, but who knows.
