I've had a couple of cars where windshield trim came loose. The only solution is to replace it with new trim that fits right, has good adhesive, or has all the little tabs that hold it in place.
I've had good luck with weatherstripping cement. Be sure to give it time to fully set. A strip of masking tape to hold it down and flat helps a lot.
Peel trim off, finding out FIRST, how to reinstall it back.
Clean everything inside, trim included, with toothbrush and soap, and rinse well and dry out with hair dryer. After that, wear gloves not to transfer oil from skin onto mating surfaces.
Buy E6000 glue. It is very thick, and hardens rather fast, you have minutes to work with it. Use narrow spatula, previously sized to fit well into where the trim will go back in, and apply glue. As I said, it is very thick and tends to streak with spatula, when you move it, so be aware of that.
Then reinstall the trim and come up with some sort of downward pressure on it, to hold it in place tight. Maybe open both windows and run tie downs through, to do that? I had long stick, jammed into garage ceiling, to hold my trim edge in place.

Buy the right trim adhesive and use it correctly. It will hold. I had a similar part do the same thing. Fixed it once. Still fixed.
