Have to say, I'm shocked to see Mini doing so well. I understand JD Power's figures are just for problems on delivery or very early in a vehicle's life, but even so.
Obviously, I wouldn't expect a vehicle to have major problems within the first 3 years of ownership, but it can happen.
The stuff at the top hasn't changed in a few years, but imagine the stuff at the bottom. Three years and that amount and why is it always the same companies? I see somehow the 911 was best rated car for this survey.

There are a few surprises. Acura is very low on the list and Honda is below average, both of which are a shock to me.
Chevrolet is the second highest ranked mainstream brand, only behind Toyota, while GMC, which are just rebadged Chevrolets, is well below average.
BMW and Mini are near the top, which is a surprise to me.
Then you have the usual suspects at the bottom, FCA brands as well as Land-Rover and Jaguar, as well as at the top with Toyota and Lexus.

That does seem weird. Maybe it's Chevy cars are what are propping them up above GMC? Where as GMC is only SUV's and Trucks and maybe vans?

I thought about that. The Chevy Sonic and Equinox were the most dependable in their respective classes, but so was the Silverado HD pickup. They don't have the full rankings for 2019, so I don't know where the GMC Sierra ranked in relation.
Who writes this stuff. Seriously. Mazda that low on the list and just below Nissan! That's nuts. In the mean time, Volvo, one of the most reliable vehicles on the planet right now comes in near dead last. Come on. I ain't buying this list.
They've got Toyota winning the top three slots and Chevrolet tucked right in below that level of "reliability." Wow. I'm shocked.
Guess I better go out and buy a Traverse, or an Enclave, LOL! Hilarious.
There's a German company #2 like it's been for last many years. Germans make nothing reliable, I learned that on here.
How much did Chevy pay to rank that high? I agree with the Kia ranking. I have 2 Kia Souls..best reliability of any vehicle I’ve owned. I also have a Fiat 500 only minor issues. I know the 500L was a disaster
