I genuinely can't decide what the best interior color is. It seems like there are ups and downs to all of them.

Black, but then I don't live in the south where I might reconsider that.

Always had black leather and I live in South Texas. Windows tint helps, and garage/shade parking.
I find two colors on seats ugly. Generally car colors and interiors are pretty boring now. There is only a handful of colors that rule the market. Consumers seem to like boring...

Perhaps this helps:

That's my main concern about black interiors especially black leather. I'd imagine it could be rough in the summer.

Only if you park your car in full sun and wear shorts

black is the easiest to keep clean!

my 2nd favorite would be like a new baseball glove color but with black carpets.

Something funky like red might look good in the right car (silver Mercedes or Porsche).

I like two tone, but for one color - tan or a natural leather look. Black seems hotter whether that is actually significantly true or not, my brain says it is hotter, so it feels hotter. White is hard to keep looking decent and it hurts my eyes. It is too bright. The current concept that painting or coloring all surfaces in a house white is one of the most appalling trends I have seen. It is right down their with the pants on the ground craze and mouth gauges. I like color. Some two tone look immature. The Pontiac G8 GXP with the red and grey is an example. I still like it, but I am not sure I would buy one like that. At times it would make me feel silly having people get into that car (although is it more the bright red on the gauge cluster than the upholstery that give it an immature appearance IMO, but the upholstery contributes). It says "this is my pretend race car." Makes you wonder if the owner makes engine noises with his lips as he or she drives and shifts. I quit pretending my cars were race cars almost 40 years ago.

Peh.
I live in Texas and have convertibles and trucks.
Black is fine.

I'm starting to like (for sports cars) red and black.
