Defiantly a good purchase. Using a KTuner with 93 octane, and just sticking with what's included, no custom tune. As far as durability goes...the car is almost payed off, and I've done a lot of research. I'm comfortable with what I've done, and don't plan on getting flex fuel kits, intakes, exhaust mods, etc. The only cars I've heard of getting messed up are people heavily modding, messing with their own settings, 2 stepping, increasing PSI way too high, abusing it in other ways.
Be wary of voiding your warranty, because it will. The good tunes can revert back to stock before you show up to dealer. My vehicle is tuned from prior owner. Very few companies tune my model, but best puts down 99whp with it and was in the $1,800 range.

I'm aware of voiding warranty. It hooks up to my laptop and goes back to stock in 5 minutes, or to a lower tune that uses 87 octane and still has a responsive throttle.

I build aftermarket EFI systems from the ground up from component level, flash the firmware on them, install them into the vehicles wiring, and then modify them by changing the way they run such as removing the distributor from a Ford 302 and installing and running LS coil packs.

After that...then I tune it myself via a laptop. That's after of course rebuilding the engine, new cam, heads, valvesprings, etc with performance parts.

I think I like the building part of the hobby more than the actual driving.
