How much snow do you get in your neck of the woods, if you are in a snow belt i'd go with a dedicated snow tire for the winter and a summer tire for summer driving.

Amen to that! Five years ago I traded my F250 4x4 for a Prius. These past 5 years have been the first since since 1972 that I haven't had a 4x4 in my garage. So I got snow tires put on it. I'd forgotten what a difference they make! If I had the ground clearance now that I had with my truck, I think I could go nearly everywhere my truck would go. They make a huge difference. I hadn't used snow tires since the mid-90s on a Saab.
"OK, give me a set of Michelins." That tells the OP and the guy at the counter absolutely nothing. Michelin makes lots of tires, some good some not so good. All are not the best in their category.
My mom's CTS came with a set of Michelin MXM4's. Absolute garbage.
I was happy to get something for them at the used tire store.
I'm sure it was because he knew some sucker who believed "Michelin, must be good!" would come around.
ss did, he bought them, he got good tires, for him. He can tell his friends.
