I'm am from the States... but I travel the world extensively and see beautiful Alfas, Citroens, etc., overseas all the time.
cool, man. but...and i mean this in the freindliest most non-adversarial way possible. i'm just sayin' i think that most people would agree that this is one of the ugliest cars they've ever seen. could be referred to as "Aztec ugly."
I guess you have to be European or see one in person and hear the maserati engine and watch its hydraulic suspension pump up the car. Leno has one in his collection and says its pretty reliable. I have also ridden in a DS.. that was a smooth ride and you could replace a tire without a jack and certain body panels could easily be changed. Beauty is in the beholder, for me the DS/SM were unique cars with revolutionary designs in their time. The DS came out in the 50's! You could eventually get a DS with headlights that followed the turn of the steering wheel (Lexus advertises it now), hyromatic suspensions, etc....

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I think that the SM is lovely, though certainly unusual.
Each to their own I guess.
The Ferrari Daytona was the car that sparked an interest in cars for me when it was released in the late 1960s.
