cdmotor is on a distinguished road
Default Charlotte, Raleigh, Dallas, Phoenix, ANYWHERE??....HELP!!

Hello everyone. I am new here, but am willing to reach out with my info in hopes of finding something....anything.

I am an experienced automotive aftermarket sales, operations, and general management executive who is recently unemployed. I am located in the NorthEast, and am willing to relocate to find a new position at a company who would like to hire someone with over 25 years experience, and an impeccable reputation and track record.

I would love to speak to companies like AutoZone (Memphis), Advance Auto Parts (Roanoke), or General Parts (Raleigh), about a position at one of their companies, but I cannot seem to get past the CareerBuilder / Monster / HotJobs online application process. When I submit my resume, I get the automated response....and then that's where it ends.

I have exhausted all my industry leads and contacts over the last 120 days, and everyone is telling me the same thing...."It's tough out there."

Okay, I understand that.

I would appreciate the opportunity to work for one of the above companies or any one of dozens of automotive manufacturers as a regional or district territory manager. My sales growth results over the years and my ability to cultivate relationships with customers have been superb.

I am willing to relocate. I am willing to take a rather large pay cut. I am willing to change positions, careers, and industries. I am willing to sell cars. I am willing to run stores and manage people. Change industries. Retail, wholesale, whatever. I have a family, and am a real person. I have only had 3 jobs over 27 years. I am loyal. I need someone to just give me a break and a chance to show them what I can do.

I have engaged the assistance of 3 headhunters in the last 3 months, all to no avail.

It really seems that there is NOTHING out there. What more can I do?
