Funny thing is you failed to mention what you drive.
I did....didn't I

I sold my old collector car and bought a pickup while people are desperate to get rid of them. It only gets about 22mpg though....

If i had the money i would buy a nice buick grand national. check out the videos on you tube of them drag racing them. they eat up just about eveything. i would definately take that engine out and put it in something a little more worthy of that caliber engine than an s15 blazer/ jimmy.

I agree. Seems a waste to put such a nice motor in... that.

Look at it for what it was at the time instead of holding it to today's standards.

I can pretty much guarantee that in 20 years, your kids are going to be wondering why you were such an idiot too.

Love the old Grand Nationals. Did you hear GM is discontinuing the 3800 V-6? An absolute crime if you ask me.

Not necessarily. Those little trucks can be made to haul ass on a budget if you play your cards right. I used to have an S-10 that had a low hp 350 in it. Truck would run 13's in the 1/4 mile all day long. Now if I can find a donor 305 H/O with 700-R4 I'd like to stuff it in my current S-10 just for a budget beater/hot rod truck.

Just so everyone knows I was only poking a little fun at the fad that was once big back in the late 80's/early 90's. Not dissing it by any means. I respect it for what it is, just surprises me how this was once considered "cool" by the masses. Anyone remember big puffed hair and parachute pants? How about mullets?

I think the truck is neat, though impractical for daily use. It was cool for it's time and still is except for the paint scheme. I'm really surprised it doesn't have a tweed interior.

Anyone remember when this style was once "hip"?
Nothing that a body transplant won't cure.

I actually love the old 80's S-10 Blazers, I just don't like that one. Someone couldn't leave well enough alone.
