What are you spending for gas every week? Is it changing the amount you drive?

I spend 72 dollars every 1.5 weeks....so that translates to 252 dollars a month I spend on gas. YES...I am driving with the cruise control on almost exclusively all the time and I never take my tach past 2,500 RPM's. I also stopped doing things and only do them either on the way to work or coming from work. I drive a 6.0 V8 beast...so I am feeling this hard.

About $16 week for 160 total work miles

But I ride a small motorcycle.

Funny, though. Even riding something that gets 40-45 mpg, I still keep an eye on gas prices. When I rode into work yesterday, I squawked at the .10 overnight increase and made sure I filled up this morning at the gas station close to my house. It's usually a few days behind the majority of gas stations in raising prices and is always about a nickel cheaper anyway. Every penny counts these damned days

About $150 a week, and nope, not any real changes to driving habits. Still have to get to work and back and still have to get groceries on off days.

I pay about $30 a week on diesel. I have a five mile commute and shop as close to home as possible, but I do visit my folks 60 miles away once a month or so.

$50-$60 a week-- 25 miles commute to work, one way.

Drive a Civic (non-hybrid) and try to drive it smartly. Recently 'been getting 40mpg-- not bad!

Can't say my driving habits changed dramatically. Gotta go to work, gotta go buy things, gotta see my folks and gotta get out of town every weekend so as not to go crazy.

I probably spend about $60 a month, too. I'm at home with my kids and the grocery store is very close. We can walk to most parks. Shoot, if I didn't have two kids and had a stroller for three, we could walk to the grocery store. Of course, with the heat here, everything would spoil on the way home. My husband often takes the train or telecommutes, so his expenditure has decreased, too.

About $40-$50 a week which includes going to work, visiting friends, running errands. I have not really changed my driving habits.
