It has 101k, V6 engine and a 5 speed manual. Clutch engages fine and doesn't slip. But it seems in 2nd or 3rd gear if you try to accelerate the whole truck vibrates. It's almost like on a manual when you slow down to like 20 in 5th gear and then accelerate without downshifting. Ecept it happened in 3rd gear at 40 mph and 2nd at 27.

What's up with that?

A wild guess, but I'm going to say that maybe the universal joint in the drive shaft is loose. Shouldn't be an expensive fix if that is the problem.

You drove a "200" S-10 and it shudders? Well no wonder dude -- the thing is over 1,800 years old.

What did it look like, a Ben-Hur chariot?

God I slay me.

2000 model. Sorry it was a typo.

Also same truck I put it in 4 low and it wouldn't come out of it, when I would push the button for the electronic transfer case on either 4 high or 2 high the little lights would come on for the gear I was trying to put it in but the damn thing didn't want to come out of 4 low.

As much as I'd like to own it I can't see spending $7500 for it.

I used to have a Mazda 323 with a push-button locking center differential. Sometimes it would take a few rotations for it to unlock. Any chance this was the issue?

Why? because it's an S-10? Or for some other reason?

Because of all of the problems you have found in just one test drive and at $7500. No way.
