I mean, you certainly don't expect a '99 Ram Air Trans Am to have a 200 shot of nitrous and a 502 crate, or an '89 Iroc to have a top speed of 230mph, but you expect that a lot more than you'd expect a late 80's CRX to be able to pull on a Lamborghini Murcielago:

They say 160mph,but they never catch the dually pickup rolling the same way? BS. Plus the clowns knew more about the honda then the lambo? Nothing like a made up video to act like their little honda pos is fast. It isn't impossible to build any type engine, just how much do you have to invest into it? I've built a few of these pos hondas and if you do not have 15k to put into them, any thing making desent power will come apart in a short time. When you get into the 80 psi turbo boost it takes to make them run, the quality of parts had better be top notch. I've had more than 1 kid bring his stock junk prelude engine and think the fast ones were using stock stuff. No, it's blocks and custom parts from the racing catologs and it's not cheap. It's less than half the price or less to build a naturally aspirated V8 of nearly any brand to make the same power as these over hype piles of high dollar junk. The advantage they do have is 1500 lb vehicles!

From 1995 to 1999 you could get the hatchback as the 318ti (but actually a 1.9L). They didn't sell well here. That, and slow sales of the Z coupes, directly contributed to BMW's refusal to offer the 1-series hatch here.

a Honda is a Honda. Great cars cars for every day drivers. Laughable for speed. Its never gonna change no matter how much the Honda fanboys pound their chests. They all grow up and buy real cars.. Ever see a 50 year old experienced racer with a riced out civic? nope.

I liked the Z3 M3 coupe it was pretty cool looking when I first seen one at a car show.

Been a while since I've been on this forum, but this thread caught my eye. I actually own a pretty interesting sleeper that would fall into the modified category. 1990 Ford Ranger 2WD long bed with a 2.3L turbo and a T5 swapped from an '88 Thunderbird Turbocoupe. Nothing says sleeper quite liked a turbocharged Ford Ranger.

Maybe there's something not being captured in the pics there, but... how are you getting air to the intercooler?

It's still a work in progress, that's actually the next issue I'm facing. A guy on the turbo Ranger forums sells special air-to-air intercoolers that mount in front of the radiator. The air entry and exit are both on the passenger's side to avoid the piping having to cross over the cylinder head and be exposed to excess heat.
