Question Would you buy a Chevy HHR?

I'm thinking about buying a Chevy HRR or a Ford Excape. Do you own a HHR?

http://www.chevrolet.com/hhr/

Thanks, John

I have an Escape and love it. It gets fair gas mileage, great interior (although nothing special), and it's a great commuter. If you don't need a full-size SUV, this is a great choice.

The HHR isn't an SUV, it's classified as a passenger car.

I want one! I think they are nice looking. Plus because the backseats fold up, you get tons of room back there. I am a chevy fan personally, so I would choose that over the Ford.
Just my opinion.

I need a new car, and this would be great!!!! Now if I can talk you all into buying it for me, it would be better. If not I guess I will have to save up for something I can afford, lol now days everything cost to much.
I hope you let us know if you bought it or not, you can pm me with the price.
Good luck, and enjoy if you do.

It's a trade off. The Escape has a higher towing capacity and cargo room, but at a higher price. The Escape's MSRP is from $19,780 to $25,315.

The HHR has better fuel economy on the highway and if not a much, it still has respectable cargo room. The HHR's MSRP is from $16,550 to $19,350.

With $0 down, 60 month financing at 6.93% (bankrate.com) payments for the Escape would be $391.01 and for the HHR would be $327.16.

Chevrolet | 2009 HHR LS, Panel LS, LT, Panel LT | Chevy HHR

Thanks, John
I own a 2006 HHR and will not buy another one because the interior door handles are made of plastic and break very easily. You cannot just replace the handle you have to buy the complete assembly from the dealer.

In the State of Maryland it's classified as a truck.

I think the HHR is as hokey as the PT Cruiser. I would never buy one, simply because I don't like the style. It's just too gimmicky...

I'm a GM girl through and through, but i wouldn't buy one for the simple fact that it's made in Mexico.

I drove one as a rental and it drove like a car that would cost about $10k or less, but it MSRP for much higher. There was very little feel in the controls. I wouldn't want to drive one again. The Cobalt Sport I also drove as a rental was better in feel and drive, though I don't know if that is the same as a non-sport version.
