The body styles of BMW, Lexus, Hyndai and maybe even Honda all look alike. The front and rear lights all look EXACTLY the same. I saw the new "Hyundai" commercial and the new 375 hp Hundai and it looked like a cross between all three cars...

Why do all these car companies mold their cars to look the same? Isn't that brand dilution? Or did the rice rocket car companies (Honda and Hyundai) copy the two luxury car makers (BMW and Lexus). What does this expose? That BMW and Lexus have been charging everybody way too much the last 20 years for the same platform as a Honda or Hyundai??? What's with those Asians, always copying each other. Try going to China and buy something that wasn't made through copyright enfringement.

I think the whole thing stinks, I'll never buy any car that looks the same as another, especially if the other car is a lot cheaper and has a name like "HUN-dai. "

DETROIT IRON ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You realize that takes away most Fords (Mercury clones and vice versa), most Pontiacs (Chevy and Toyota clones and vice versa), Saturns (Opel clones) and Chevy trucks and SUVs (GMC clones and vice versa). There's still some cars that are unique, but you're limiting yourself quite a bit.

Well, ya only need one car..

I've had cars that stood out. They also tended to be targets for vandalism, tickets and rude behavior in traffic. Now I'll gladly take my nice mid-sized four-door sedan which looks the same as the other million or so produced every year.

There are plenty of Japanese and Korean cars that look just as wimpy...

You guys are lame. There are three U.S. car manufacturers - GMC, Ford, and Daimler-Chrysler. BMW, Lexus, Honda, and Hundai are separate companies. Yet some of their cars look eerily similar. In fact, they look like they were drawn from the same blueprints. That is different from when a Lincoln that uses the same chassis as a Ford or a GMC truck uses the same tail lights as a Chevy...

GMC is the truck arm of GM. Daimler is no longer affiliated with Chrysler.

Guess what: I had no problems in that department even when driving a 12 YO green Ford Torino sedan back in 1983 Maybe because I do not find skinny bleach blondes with fake ta-tas* attractive at all.

*with all due respect to Tata Motors out of India.
