Our dealership converted each of our cars to Nitrogen as we brought them into service for free.
Son got something in his tire and got a leak. He put air on top of Nitrogen. When the dealership opened they patched the leak and refilled the tire with Nitrogen, for free.

Any gas behaves the same with temperature fluctuation:
Given the same volume, higher temp=higher pressure
Bottled nitrogen is favored in race applications as it has far less moisture content than compressed air and is more predictable, makes a difference when you may be working in 1/2 PSI increments.
Of course in some European garages, when you fill with nitrogen they do give you trendy green valve stem caps
Costco puts nitrogen air in their tires, but the problem is if I want to keep it as nitrogen I have to stop by the Costco everytime just to have them put air in my tires, not exactly convenient. You can put regular air, but over time if you keep filling it with regular air the nitrogen costco used is gone. Which is not a big deal really, I'm not sold that nitrogen makes the tires run better or helps save fuel, etc.
So I'll just keep filling mine with my compressor.
I work on military aircraft and we use 100% nitrogen because of the benefits of no pressure change with temp change.
Really? Nitrogen is the only gas known to defy the laws of physics?
At any rate, I'll take nitrogen-filled tires over air-filled tires any day -- for free, that is. But nitrogen-inflated tires at $5 a pop is a flat-out ripoff. If your tires are losing more than a pound or two of pressure between each oil change (where they'll top off your tires as part of the oil service), then you have structural problems with your tires, rims, or both, that filling them with nitrogen won't resolve.
My company provided us with Nitrogen fills in our personal vehicles. I had it done to my daily driver and at first I was happy with it. But, I noticed my tires seemed to wear quickly after the service was performed. IMO, it does nothing to help with MPG's and I think it lead to premature wear on my tires. It's back to regular air for me.
