BLACK!!!

My current rides:
06 Black BMW
02 Black Suburban

and hubby is looking at a Black Porsche but will keep driving his p/u some that is dark red. He does not want any other color. We are that kind of people though, reading thru here and how some just settle for a car even if it is not the color they want, we don't. If they don't have to a "T" what we want we don't buy. Like right now the car he wants he will get black/black, not tan or grey interior but black. I LOVE black, even when it is not sparkling clean it still looks clean from a distance. Everyone thinks my cars are always clean when they really are not, at least not clean/clean to me .

The colors I will NEVER get: Silver, gray/grey or light blue. Why? Take a look at the cars on the road at dusk? What colors of cars tend to fade into the sky? These colors of cars do and people tend not to see them. No thanks. Nor brown, just because it's brown and not at all "pretty" on a car, imo.

My husband has a black truck and it really shows the dirt (on the outside) I hate it...every water spot or any little bit of dirt shows up on black!! I hate it!! Surprisingly white stays cleaner looking....I had a white (pearl) 300z and it always looked clean even when it wasn't ....you could run your finger down the side and see it was dirty .....but not just looking at it.
My car is silver(300M).....silver actually has the best resale value....looks clean all the time...doesn't fade either!!!

I love my Buick! It is dark green. I like dark grey, teal or green. No red please! No neon colors either.

My truck is rust colored. Oh wait, it is rust. It's a 1985 ford pickup. Still runs like a champ, she's only got 310,000 miles on her. She's just broke in. I think when I ordered her, she was blue and grey. But I can't tell anymore. hahaha

LOL....my husband bought a F150 in 2004. Brand new. Black. It usually looks like musty grey. But BEFORE that he had a 1989 F150. It used to be black but it got to the point where Camouflage was really more like it. Finally gave it up but he still laments his "mare" and is always comparing the old truck with the new one. He should have stayed with the old one!

Audi A8: White
QX56: White

Colors I like...obviously White, as well as Silver/Platinum. I also like that dark orange that some cars have now...kind of like a burnt sunset.

Colors I can't stand...yellow. It hurts my eyes.

My Yukon is Black. Certain colours look good on certain cars. I LOVE red trucks and usually most cars look good in black or white. But I'm not a fan of green, blue, orange, or yellow vehicles, some pull it off (example a VW Beetle) but others just look fugly.

Currently my car is black, but I will never own a black car again. Yes it looks good and black will always be in style, but it is a pain to keep clean and shows every blemish. I do like shades of blue (this one I like came on a 1997 Acura CL coupe) not those bright crayon blues though. I also like pearl whites, ones with more shades of silver/blue than yellow. Compared to Europe though, our cars here have very dull colors..too much grey and silver! Dark metallic reds are also nice

I don't really have a favorite color for automobiles, as long as it's not pink!

I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT truck, with the extended cab in the maroon/dark red color, and a 2001 Nissan Xterra SUV, which is yellow. The one thing about Arizona, and SpeedyAZ, I'm sure you know that, if you leave a dark colored vehicle in the sun here in July for a couple of hours, you know it's going to be MUCH hotter inside, than it will be inside a light colored vehicle. I know that for sure because the inside of the Xterra SUV is always at least 10 degrees cooler than the Dakota, and both vehicles have cloth seats.

They say the ideal color for the Arizona desert is white, but it's a boring color, I like bright colors, and the Xterra has the perfect color because it's not a dark color, and it's very bright, you can spot the SUV in a multi-acre parking lot because it sticks out like a sore thumb. The Dakota is a little tougher to spot for some reason, but I'll use the remote lock, whenever I forget where I parked it, and when I hear it beep, I know I'm close.

I also know that metalic colors are not ideal for areas with a hot summer climate, like the Arizona desert. That's why you'll see many such vehicles here with heavily oxidized finishes. This happens to all finishes and colors, but metalic colors do oxidize faster if you don't use finish protectant like people should every 6 months.
