Default Toyota Matrix headlight adjustment ????

REcently my 2005 Matrix was hit in the drivers front fender. The fender was replaced along with a new headlight assembly. While driving a night I noticed that headlight is pointing about 40 degrees to the right and about 30 degrees up. everything looks ok looking at the headlight, nothing seems out of whack. Can this be adjusted? Original replacement parts were not used.Could it be the whole fender is out of line?

Personally I would take it back to the shop and have them align the lights, your car should have been put back in state inspectable condition, this includes headlight aiming which is usually checked during the inspection, any inspection station will have the equipment to check and adjust it.

I used this procedure when adjusting the lights on our car.

http://www.coolbulbs.com/HID-VISUAL-...-PROCEDURE.pdf

Found that ours were so far out after several repairs that it took many turns of the four adjustment screws to get them right. I was glad I had air tools to turn the screws as the clearance for a ratchet or screwdriver was very small.

Before doing them myself I went back to the bodyshop but what they did was inadequate.
