I assume that the problem is related to the distributor cap.. anyone know how much it will cost to fix it... and what happens if it isn't fixed? Thanks...

What sort of problem would result in a squealing distributor cap? Heck, how many cars even have distributor caps?

Squealing is more often something that moving parts are responsible -- like a belt or the pulley that it is driving.

When is the squeal heard? What kind of car? (model, year, options)

First it would help if you actually provided some useful info on the vehicle and the squeal, second, if you think the distributor cap is squealing, don't try to fix the problem yourself

Distributor caps don't squeal - and it's like that your car doesn't have one anyway.

Serpentine belts squeal. That's where you should start.

Good luck!

No, they don't squeal after you run over them.

Lost your cat? Try looking under my tires
