I forgot to mention that the other day I've seen a white early 1970s Chrysler New Yorker parked on the side of the road and I was surprised it was a New Yorker cause it didn't have the vinyl top and it was a pillared sedan, I thought it would either be a Dodge Polara or a Chrysler Newport

Yesterday I've seen a white mid 1960s Mercury Parklane 2 door and it had bucket seats and a console shift automatic, were the Parklane's with console shift automatics very rare?

Down here in the Florida Keys, I saw what appeared to be a Duesenberg Phaeton in front of TGI Fridays. It was enormous, didn't stay long, and is the only Duesy I've ever seen in perrywinkle blue. The coolest cars never stay parked for long, ever notice that?

Anyway, it was cool to see that, as those classics were built, along with Auburns and Cords, not 30 miles from my home town.

Spotted a 1971 Plymouth Duster AND a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus in the last couple days. I've been told someone has moved into my area whose plates are Mopar-1. Sure like to meet him! I had a Satellite Sebring Plus, same year-red 2 door with white vinyl top. Man, I wish I had that car back!

Colleague here at work drove in a red '65 Mustang, numbers matching car, good driver and would be OK for local shows, 6 cylinder and 4-speed. Also a fairly practical driver for nice days, which we have a lot of here.

Drove in today in the 92 Subie AWD Legacy - that's not really old but it's getting there.

What was the engine for the Satellite Sebring? I actually like these cars alot and it's a shame you don't see many of them around

In that era, you could get a slant-6, a 318 probably with eithe r2 or 4 barrel carb, a 340, probably in 1971 you could get big engines like the 440, by 73 I doubt you could get the 440 in the Satellite but could be wrong. Likewise you could get a 3-on-the-tree (standard, few made, probably rare today) a 3 or 4 speed floor shift, or a Torqueflite, most engines available with any trans you wanted, then on to the rear end, where you could spec out about any ring and pinion that would physically fit - usually from about 2.5 to 4.5 overall ratio, which is to say from too tall to be really practical, to too short to be really practical.

Probably most of them came with 318 2-barrels and Torqueflites though.

You could still get the 440ci motor in 1973 on the Satellite's which made a whopping 280 net hp, I was surprised with how much power you could get on a 1973 440ci motor considering that it was a Emission Controls era.
