In DC or NYC, Top up or top down doesn't matter. At least with top down your windows won't be broken when stuff is stolen. Top up, windows broken and things stolen.

Wow, you guys. Sorry about your cars.

Knock on wood, but if I lived in a place where I couldn't leave my top down while parked outside for however long I wanted, I wouldn't buy a convertible.

Leave it down at the gym, grocery store, restaurants, whatever.
When I go to work, I do put the sunshade over the seats, as there are birds and the seats are suede.

[quote=titaniummd;7434040]You know, even on a day like today in sunny Florida with a temperature of 70 degrees. The 'wind chill' almost necessitates heaters and heated seats on. However, I think heated seats are more therapeutic (warms up my lumbar spine) more than anything.[/QUOT

LOL I have had my car for less than a yr. I've never had heated seats b4, I think that is my favorite part of the car. I had them on yesterday and it was 72 out!

30 something today. I got halfway to work with the top down then my hat kept blowing off-- had to put the top up at a stoplight.

no heated seats, but I did turn the heater on. i had forgotten my gloves so it helped a little.

:P

Windows up! Top down. I don't care if others think it looks silly. I have chin length ultra frizzy hair that takes an hour to style every morning. I still love convertibles they are just in my eyes the sexiest looking cars but I would look like a hot mess if I rode with the windows down. Plus, it would just undo all that I done during my morning routine, might as well not use the serums and put down the hair straitener. On days that I don't have time to style my hair I ride totally "topless" but I tie a head scarf around my head and put on a big pair of shades (kinda retro diva) and remove it before exiting my mobile. Hey, a girls gotta look good! Can't be out done by her car. And when I park top up always because I live in a small town with tons of cameras. Chances are no one is going to vandalize my windows or roof but I don't want looters making a quick grab for any items in my car or immature rednecks, jealous teens, throwing trash in my seats.

Heated seats! ah that sounds amazing! Could get alot of use out of that here in Missouri and yes, it sounds very therapeutic. I wonder what it would cost to get my seats upgraded? I drive a 97 camaro.

A real man will have the top and windows down. Everytime I see a vert with windows up and top down I expect to see a woman or old people.

The S2000's cabin is pretty well-designed; if you have the top down but the windows up and have the heat on a bit, you can easily drive on a chilly night and still be comfortable. I usually have them up if I'm driving with the top down on a chilly night

It's also a lot quieter with them up.

Top down, windows down. If conditions require the windows to be up then the top should probably be up as well. Usually when parked the top stays down if I'm running erands locally, but the car is still locked with the alarm on. The trunk can only be opened with a key.
