As often as Grand Nationals are stolen, I'll bet by the sounds of it the thieves wouldn't even bother with this one.......
I'll snap a pic of the car the next time I'm up that way if I can remember it.

I can't say much! I wrecked a '66 Chevy II and I still haven't fixed it.

My cousin's wife's mother had a Grand National. Boy did I have fun driving that car...wish she would have sold it to me lol! I'd love to find one with a digital dashboard and then I'd have to rob a bank to get the money heh!

I wouldn't. Regular oil will start coking the oil lines reducing the flow of oil. Eventually, the turbo becomes oil starved and after that it is bye bye turbo. Synthetic oil does not coke therefore your turbo will last a lot longer by always running synthetic.

NICE cars! I did get the chance to play with one and was impressed with the handling. The little motor could squirt right along!
I believe they bought something like the first 40 1987 GNX's. But that's a vague recollection.

and FWIW the FWD supercharged regal isn't even close to the old turbo car.

Here's another turbo rocket that came out of the GM camp in the early 90's.
My dad actually has the Syclone, and it's only got something like 20k miles on it.

Car Lust: GMC Syclone/GMC Typhoon

My only experience with a turbo on a gas engine was a 86 Shelby Charger.. and that ran great. Other than that my diesel truck and car have over 100k one them with no issues and no blowby.. I also think they go over a million miles on semi trucks sooo I'd say they are pretty dependable.

An ex and I had a Shelby Turbo 2.2, too! An '85. Black with the silver stripe package. Loaded. What a fun little car and absolutely no problems. It was a pleasure to drive and nimble in the twisties...

anyone remember Dodge Omni that became Shelby's first "tuner" car and he called it GLH, goes like hell. Talk about a sleeper. Looked ugly as hell but it sure was fast for it's time.
