You know, I'm really impressed with the new Fit. I know it doesn't look all that much different, but they made it a lot more comfortable for bigger people and I like the open space underneath the rear seat. Definitely much better than the old one.
Fast ≠ fun. I'd take a "slow" M5 over any Fit, any day of the week, and besides, the BMW may not have been trying to outpace the Fit. Anyone who's done track days knows different drivers drive at different paces, which is why you see Neons passing Ferraris. The M5 moved to the outside to let the Fit pass, its not like the Fit overtook the BMW.
The Fit is a subcompact, fwd, economy car. No matter how fast you make it, its still small, plasticky, and fwd. I can't understand why you'd put a supercharger on a Fit anyway - for the money, I'd just get a better car.
Reminds me of people who take old Honda Crx's and completely strip them of the interior, dash and passenger seat, put in a 300 horsepower B18 turbo engine and brag that they can outrun Corvette Zo6's and Vipers. It is still a little unsafe piece of garbage. I would take the Corvette or Viper any day of the week.

I got a kick out of those ricers that would try to turn a CRX into a race car. They would put some insane boost into those little engines. Someone even put in a second engine in the rear of one. I haven't seen a CRX in years.
Okay, so there's power to weight issues but to my mind a proper M5 with a decent driver could get rid of the rear view mirror, as there wouldn't be anything behind him.
whp = wheel horsepower. this is the HP number you would see if you were to put the car on a dyno, since that measures the HP at the wheels and not directly off the engine flywheel.
the NEW M5 may have over 500+ BHP, but the M5 in the video is 1 or 2 generations old. i'm not sure, but the 350 whp comment sounds about right.
