That was his last Caddy. He is now deceased. He always said his '67 and 72 were his best Cadillacs and in later years they seemed to decrease in quality and workmanship.

first car as a teen was a 66 Chevelle 2dr hardtop, 327, stick, 4.11 gears ( what a great car to learn how to drive on! ).
2nd car: 73 Vega, 30 mpg ( of oil ), holes in fenders which added to the fresh air system, and holes in the floor for those "Flinstone-style" panic stops....

I was lucky enough to own a couple 66 Chevelles as well as a 70 1/2 Camaro before I was 21. Ahh those were the days.

I was dumb enough to own 2 Vegas ( kids, this is your brain on drugs... )

Several decades and dozens of cars later, I still can remember things about each and every one ever owned.

It was a 1965 El Camino that my Dad and myself did a body off restoration of back in 74. Kept that cat until about 1999.

A 1975 or 1976 Chevy Monza! It had a 350 in it, so it was pretty quick - - - when it ran! I was in Arizona at the time, and it had ac, but would overheat when you ran it - it sucked!

When I finally got my driver's license at 18 years old, my father bought me an AMC Gremlin that had over 90,000 miles on it! Honestly, is there another car that was uglier (with the possible exception of the Pacer, also an AMC gem)? It was embarrassing to drive around in it. I am still grateful that my dad bought me car at all, but why did it have to be that particular model?

How funny, I do remember those! We used to call them fishbowls! I had a friend in high school that had one that was primer gray and would start without the key - he used to joke around that he never had to worry about anyone taking it anyways! Believe it or not, I actually saw one on the road last night - blast from the past!

1946 Ford Four Door Sedan

Bought it for $100.00 at a used car lot in Houston...way back when... I wish I still had that car....I don't even remember what happen to it..

My parents never knew I owned it..I parked it a few block from the house....I was only 14 at the time..

It looked like this but it was black... Used a sardine can key to turn on and then pushed floor start button...

1948 Chevrolet Fleetline. With a little attention to detail, could load a day's worth of wood fence posts & barbed wire in the trunk with post hole diggers and and other equipment in the back seat. That thing would go where ever required.
