The village of Schaumburg, Ill., installed a camera at Woodfield Mall last November to film cars that were running red lights, then used the footage to issue citations. Results were astonishing. The town issued $1 million in fines in just three months.

Thank God where I live determined that "red Light" cameras were against the state constitution and banned them.

That is going on all around the country how. But that is nothing comapred to UK where they have camera to actually watch for crime. They say you can not enter or leave London without them recording your license number on tape. i trhnik we will see more of it in teh future even porivte cameras that people are instlling around their homes as security and many businesses.I6ts now common for cameras to cover entire parking lots areas besides in the store.

The traffic in Schaumburg is almost as ridiculous as the idiot drivers who live there. I hope the city hands out millions more in tickets. Maybe then the drivers in Schaumburg will pull their big heads out of their butts and put their cell phones down for a few minutes.
