Me too. As with most cars, starting in '73, the bumpers got much larger. As is the case with my '73 Pontiac. Same basic body style as the '72, but it has a cleaner looking front/rear ends with the smaller bumpers. Wish mine was a '72, but the 72s didnt offer fender skirts oddly enough. I am sure one could add them to the 72 since it was the same wheelwell design, that didnt change.

Default Consumer Reports

loved that Marquis for 72 in their March report, especially the antiskid brakes. The Marquis was again top rated for 73.

There was a man in town that had FOUR of these at once. They were all 72 models. They were mixed up... two were 4dr hardtops (no posts) and two were 4dr sedans... One was a loaded Marquis Brougham, two were Marquis and one was a plain Monterey.

I also knew a man with a 72 Marquis 4dr sedan and one with a 74 Marquis Colony Park wagon.

Default that is nice!!

you know it doesn't look that much smaller than the Fury wagon and of course you know it gets better gas mileage (72 CR's test of Satellite wagon was 9-18 mpg in normal driving, 14 mpg on a 300 mile trip)

Default strange why

the mid sizers had the flush doorhandles bit not the full sizers (made the mid sizers look sleeker)

Default did the Satellite Regent wagon

have round speedometer dials in the Satellite Sebring Plus, Charger SE, Crestwood, Laguna tradition or was it the standard horizontal speedometer?

DAYAM, Chrysler Corp just totally knew how to make their cars look unmistakably Chrysler Corp back in those days. After 74, it all just started to fade away...

and believe me, this wagon is CHRYSLER ALL THE WAY!!!

Hmmm... not sure. I will look into that. This green Dodge wagon has the horizontal one as you can see. Not sure about Plymouth that year though. I think it was also horizontal.

My 73 Pontiac GV has round gauges, the 72 Chevy Caprice has the horizontal. 72 Buick was kind of a mix of both, 72 Oldsmobile had square... kinda weird. lol.
