I don't understand why people hate the Aztec so much. I think it's gorgeous. And it does have awesome features. Granted, I drive a box, so my taste in cars may not be the most conventional.
I pretty well think that you can pick any ten from about 74 on and the crummy workmanship and number of lemons produced. From there on they loss their customer base.
One word: Aztec.
Well I think Detroit was already sunk by the time the Pontiac Aztec came out but that thing would scare away anybody. If you own one, please don't lecture us on all of the great features it has on the inside. That's all great and fine. But that exterior, is horrible.
Every car company has had an ugly model or two, like the Prius, or the Scion XB.

My wife would LOVE to have a Scion Xb.
Couple weeks ago I did some work on one for a family member. And I gotta say, I really wouldn't mind having my wife drive one. They're unbelievable large on the inside, and get mid-upper 30s for mileage on the highway.

That was exactly what I was thinking. The Aztec was the fugliest thing on 4 wheels. It should have been on that list, the Aztec earned it.
When the Scion box cars came out there was a story that said the Japanese designers were inspired by the Chevy Astro's boxy look. I had a 94 Cavalier. It ran fine until a Ford F250 ran a yield sign and slammed into my front fender and stopped with it's front tire on the hood of my car. Though it was declared totaled, the engine and transmission ran fine. The reason why the Cavalier was on the list was because GM was content to not bother making improvements to the car for decades at a time. It was an example of how GM let themselves fall behind their Japanese competitors. With improvements to it's suspension, interior, body panel fit, and engine.
