Default odometer

i forgot i have a question already. i pressed my trip button and then i realized my odometer was not workin. im not sure how long it has not been working but i have a feeling when i pressed the trip button that may have somehow caused it to quit working. does antbody know wats wrong???

Let me guess...you have a mid 90s Ford.

Yeah, pushing that odometer reset putton while moving knocks those gears out of whack. They eventually wear down, anyway.

yeah but a digital one should be fine maybe just go through your manual and srew around with the trip button..my car has the GM driver information that tell you MPG, real time fuel milage and the trip computer but you have to go trough it to get back to your main odometer readings..

LOL, or a 1980s-early 90s Mercedes. They were notorious for that too. Seems as if the little gears get broken over time. Mine stopped working last week. Its only $60 for parts and about $25 labor, so I am getting it fixed soon.

Not sure? How do you go about determining when your oil needs to be changed?

it just quit working im gonna change my oil as soon as i fix my leak and put some good high mileage oil in anyway
