First picture is centered on an auto tranny bellhousing. The "wet" areas are indicative of a possible rear main leak.
The other picture I believe is centered on a sway bar link.

I believe your right. It's what I'd call them.

If there is coolant leaking from that hole look at the top of the engine. It is likely leaking up top and running down the back of the engine and finding it's way out thru the hole you picture. If it's not leaking up top it could be a freeze plug on the back of the engine but with the plumbing and things that block your vision I would bet on top of engine

I'm not seeing any coolant in the photo. No green antifreeze droplet or anything.

I actually dab my finger and taste everything, its the only sure way to know what fluids are leaking. Let us know if that stuff tastes sweet.

Some torque converters actually have a drain plug on them, if that is true for your vehicle then im guessing that would just be an access hole to the converter. You would then bump the starter until the converter plug was lined up with the access hole... again that is just an educated guess.
It would help alot if you indicated what kind of vehicle this is.

But could you tell us what make & model the car is - and what, exactly is going on?
Is your anti-freeze level going down? Is your tranny fluid level going down? Something else?
Thanks!
