Sold my car, picking up buyer at airport, wants to drive back out of state with my tag. OK ?

Once you sell them the car (They pay you, you sign the documents), pull your plate/tags off of the car.

With the way things are today (with lawyers and insurance companies...and con artists), why take a chance.

Don't take any chances.

I lived in FL for several years, when you sell/trade your vehicle the plates are to be removed at that time. Take the buyer to the DMV office and transfer the car to the buyer,once you sign a bill of sale the plates are no longer any good on the car. The DMV office will give the buyer the proper paperwork to drive the vehicle. Do not let this person drive the car with your plates.
